Zelany Charisse Young

Zelany Young was born September 27,1972 in Omaha, Nebraska to the late Perry Brady Young and Hattie M. Young . She passe away surrounded by family on December 18, 2021 at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Zelany graduated from Northwest High School in 1990. She went on to attend Bellevue Community College and attended Omaha Cosmetology School . Zelany loved her church and rarely missed a Sunday. She was a vey active member on the Repass ministry, Morning Star Choir and a loyal participant and pillar on the Pryme Time and Pleasant Green Drill Team. Zelany loved her friends and enjoyed family gatherings. She was the family historian and could off-the-cuff tell you what branch of family you belong to, historical events and dates, birthdates and names. She was referred to as Hickey, Sissy, Zel, Charisse, CeCe and Zep by family members and friends. Zelany preceded in death by the Perry Brady Young and is survived by her mother Hattie M. Livingston; sons, James Nance Jr., Trevon Hogan; daughter, Jayma Hogan, bonus Children; Todd Belgrave, Mikeisha Russell; sisters, Terrie Culliver, Cynthia Stewart , Ann Young, Aretha Young , Toni Young ; two grandchildren, Jamir Nance and Kayden Nance; nieces, nephews and a slew of relatives and friends. Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Roeder Mortuary, 4932 Ames Ave. Funeral Service: 10:00 AM Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Morning Star Baptist Church, 2019 Burdette St., Omaha, Nebraska Interment: Forest Lawn Cemetery, 7909 Mormon Bridge Rd., Omaha, Nebraska
