Zachariah "Zach" S. Tubbs

Zachariah, "Zach", Scott Tubbs, 34 of Gretna, Nebraska left his home and family on July 2, 2024. Zach was born on November 16, 1989 in Omaha, Nebraska. Zach entered the kingdom of God following a battle with cancer. Zach was a native of Gretna, Nebraska, spending child and adulthood years as a resident in the bliss of this smalltown community. Zach was a devoted Cornhusker fan. Zach was also a member of an electronic gaming community and enjoyed spending time with online friends. 

Zach had a big personality and love for life. Loved ones looked towards Zach for sharing logic-knowledge through conversation. Zach couragiously voiced ideas leaving others in thought. Zach was inclusionary and could be counted on for reaching out to newcomers with welcome. Zach was compassionate and loyal to newcomers. Others could depend upon him for finding a place for fitting in. 

Preceding in death, Zach joins Sarah and "Nannie" (Patricia Welch), a dearest friend and grandmother. Zach loved his family and friends often speaking of fond memories. His love for all was fierce. Zach leaves behind his parents Greg and Lori Tubbs, and grandparents Roger and Joanne Tubbs. Zach leaves behind several aunts and uncles: uncle Mike (Anna), aunt Diana (Rusty), aunt Teresa (Rob), aunt Angie (Earl), and aunt Rhonda (Rod). Zach leaves behind several cousins Mitch, Brandon, Mark, Amanda, Kourtne, Marissa, Pierson, Christian, and Dennisha. Zach had a special place for is fur babies as well: Shaya, Mickey, and Gizmo. 

Gathering of family and friends for a celebration of life is scheduled on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Resurrection Evangelical Lutheran Church, 153 South McKenna Ave, Gretna, NE.
