Yvonne M. Odvody

Yvonne Odvody, 85, of Ashland, NE died Friday, May 10, 2024, at Lakeside Hospital in Omaha, NE. 

Yvonne was born March 7, 1939, in Niobrara, NE to Harold and June (Pease) Halvorsen. She attended Niobrara Highschool until the family moved to Kirkland, WA. She married her high school sweetheart Ronald May, on December 18, 1958. There, they welcomed their son Bradley and their daughter, Brenda. They returned to Nebraska in 1967 and resided in the Columbus and Schuyler area. Yvonne later married Dennis Odvody of Prague, NE on June 27, 1980, and welcomed her third child Jessica. Yvonne loved children. As a result, she opened her home as a daycare and to foster children while residing in Schuyler. The daycare allowed her to stay close to her grandchildren during its 20-year run. Upon retirement, Yvonne moved to Ashland, NE to combine households with her daughters and grandchildren Anthony and Savannah. 

Survivors include Mother June; son, Bradley (Dora); and daughters Brenda and Jessica (Jaret).  Four brothers; Butch, Kenny, Ronnie, and Stan; with one sister Glenda. Grandchildren include James, Anthony, Amanda, and Savannah; as well as five great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Alisha; and her father. 

Internment decided at a later date at Schuyler Cemetery.
