Wyatt Michael Bernal, 19, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away unexpectedly on July 2nd, 2026. Born on November 21st, 2006 in Laramie, Wyoming, he was the beloved child of Cecilio Bernal and Michala Marie Stepanek.
Wyatt had a gift that couldn't be taught. He made everyone laugh. He had a way of making people feel included, seen, and welcome no matter who they were. He was the kind of person who could make a stranger feel like a lifelong friend.
Music wasn't just something Wyatt enjoyed. It was his passion. He poured his heart into every lyric and every beat because music wasn't simply what he did. It was part of who he was.
Those who knew Wyatt will remember his kindness, his generosity, his politeness, and the way he loved people without hesitation. He gave the very best hugs, and he had a heart big enough to make everyone around him feel like family.
The world feels a little quieter without Wyatt's laughter, but the love he gave so freely will continue to live on in everyone whose life he touched. His music, his smile, his hugs, and the way he made people feel seen and accepted will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his parents, Cecilio Bernal of Omaha, Nebraska, and Michala Marie Stepanek of Lincoln, Nebraska; brother, Kane Cecilio Bernal (Grey M. Beck) of Lincoln, Nebraska; sister Bella Rosa Bernal of Omaha, Nebraska; girlfriend Nina Lynn Leake of Omaha, Nebraska; Grandmother Lisa Lynn Stepanek of Omaha, Nebraska; Tata Antonio Torres Bernal (Valeria Ruela) of El Paso, Texas. He is also survived by many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Nana, RosaMaria Baca Bernal and Grandfather Timothy Mark Bovee.
