William P. Werthmann

July 20,1943-February 4,2021 Bill Werthmann passed away peacefully surrounded by family. He is preceded in death by his parents; Ralph and Bobbe Werthmann and beloved sister, Ann Fox Vermillion. Bill is survived by his brothers; Ralph, John, Steve and Mark and his three children; Monica , Jillian and Jonah. Bill is also survived by the grandchildren he adored; Liam, Amelia, Ryan, Isaac, Tyler, Daphne and Zachary. Bill was an amazing dad. He worked at a job he didn’t like for years so he could send his daughters to Creighton for college for free. Bill was the other pea in the pod and a best friend to his son, Jonah. Bill was an amazing Pappy and his grandkids were the light of his life. He was sweet, loving and the king of the “dad joke”. Bill was a Vietnam veteran and subsequently a fierce pacifist. He loved James Bond movies, westerns and dreamed of sailing the ocean. He died from complications from Alzheimer’s disease but he never forgot his family. He will be greatly missed.
