William G. Craven

Age 70 – William G. Craven, Jr. was born January 8, 1953, to William and Katherine (Nielson) Craven in Omaha, Nebraska. He graduated from St. Bernard’s Catholic School and Roncalli High School. Bill had many hobbies such as hunting, fishing, scuba diving, racing pigeons, and flying. Sadly, for the last 5+ years, he fought cancer courageously until he succumbed to his health on November 9, 2023.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Katherine Craven, and his sister Mary Janky.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Susan (Johnson) Craven. The mother of his only child Linda (Brayton) Bennett. His son Scott (Sarah) Craven, and grandson, William Craven. His oldest sister, Coreen (Bob) Miller, brother-in-law; Peter Janky, nephews; Michael (Jean) Miller, Joseph (Lori) Miller, Steven (Kate) Miller, nieces; Ann (Don) Grandlund, Deanna (Craig) Johansen, Katherine (Scott) Pachunka, Sue Signorino, and Kristine (Dan) Gronberg.

A memorial service for family & friends will be held at 11:30 with a luncheon following on Friday, November 17, 2023, at The Water’s Edge Church, 19600 Harrison St, Gretna, NE. Memorials can be made to the family. A donation will be made in his name to the Nebraska Game and Parks Foundation.
