Wilbert J. (Neely) Fisher

Wilbert James Neely-Fisher was born on March 3

, 1958, to Betty Jean Oliver-

Fisher and Wilbert “Chick” Fisher. He was the third child to this union.

He accepted Christ at an early age.

Wilbert attended Omaha Public Schools.  He graduated from Technical High School in 1976.

In 1977, Wilbert met and married Alberta Mae Wilson.

To this union LaKeshia Wilson, his only child was born.

Wilbert then decided to join the Army, to provide for his family.

He was stationed over in Germany.   He was later discharged.

Family and friends meant everything to Wilbert.  He loved going bowling, fishing and motorcycle riding with his brothers and friends.  He was a member of the Ebony Wheel Motorcycle Club.  People knew him as Smokey.  He loved his pet dogs.

He was also a proud grandfather to DuMauaier Dupree Franklin. His only grandchild.

Later in life, Wilbert met his soulmate Florence Moten. The two had a bond like no other. Florence stood by Wilbert’s side until his death.

Wilbert liked to keep things simple.  He was the joy of this family. He will truly be missed.

He is presided in death by wife Alberta Mae Wilson-Neely & mother Betty Jean Oliver-Fisher.

He leaves to cherish his memories, daughter LaKeshia Wilson , father Wilbert “Chick” Fisher, grandson  DuMauaier Dupree Franklin  Five brothers Larry Fisher of Henderson, NV , Terry Fisher of Wichita, KS, Kenneth Fisher , Bryant Fisher and Brandon Fisher all of Omaha NE.  Four sisters Glenda Fisher-Miller of Winter Springs, FL., Doreatha Rutherford of Denver, CO., Cardella and Kathy Fisher all of Omaha, NE., Dear friend Florence Moten,  A host of relatives and friends.

Visitation Tuesday 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Roeder Mortuary Ames Chapel; Service 10:00 AM Wednesday at Mount Calvary Community Church 5112 Ames Avenue Omaha, Nebraska; Interment Mount Hope Cemetery Omaha, Nebraska
