Wayne G. Bauer

Born June 30, 1939, the son of William Maurice and Doris Emma (Ranger) Bauer.

Wayne was a 1957 graduate of Marshall High School. He went on to earn his BA Degree in Communications from Central Michigan University, graduating in 1961. During his years at Central, Wayne was a member of the ROTC and upon graduation was commissioned as a Lieutenant.

Following graduation, Wayne joined the Army, serving in numerous areas, including Germany and Vietnam. Due to Agent Orange exposure, he retired as a Major.

On October 17, 1975 Wayne married the former Linda An Rabbitt in Battle Creek. Wayne met Linda at Ermisch Travel of Battle Creek where they both worked for a short period of time. After leaving Ermisch Travel, he worked at several local radio stations in a managerial capacity. In 1995, Wayne and Linda moved to Omaha.

Affiliations include MOAA, Presbyterian Church of the Cross.

In addition to Linda, survivors include numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by parents and siblings: Betty, Marilyn, Norma, William G., and Paul Bauer.
