Walter Albert Clifton, 93 years old, of Bennington Nebraska, passed away on 4/29/2029, after a battle with Alzheimer’s. Al was born on October 17, 1930, in Independence Missouri, to parents Walter & Artie Grayer Clifton. He enlisted in the Navy from Sept 1948 – Sept 1952. He went home to Independence, met his wife, Donna Lee Ferguson Baker. They were united in marriage on December 31, 1955 in Omaha, Ne. To this union 3 children were born. Cynthia Lee Clifton Perchal, Kent Hawley Clifton, and Shawn Dennis Clifton. Al & Donna purchased land in the country building their home for their family and their many adventures. Every summer the family would go to the mountains camping for 2 weeks.Al went to work for SC Johnson in 1972 and moved to St, Charles, Missouri. They moved to Racine, Wi. In 1981 he then started traveling to the Far East, including Australia & New Zealand. In 1993 he retired and moved back home to Blair, Ne. Al & Donna moved to a retirement Facility in 2024.
Al was predeceased by his parents, 1 brother and 2 sisters. He is survived by his wife Donna Clifton and children, Cindi Perchal (Fred), Kent Clifton (Sue), Shawn Clifton (Cindy), and his Grandchildren Jennifer Michalski (Bryan), Jason Miller (Dana), Josh Perchal (Kara), Cassie Willis (Jason), Trent Clifton (Stacey), Kassie Wade (CJ), John Talbert (Stephanie), & Cameron Clifton (Abigail). He also has 18 Great-Grandchildren. Shelby, Kebra, Peyton, Liam, Anistyn, Presley, Keaton, Merritt, Nathan, Judge, Kaylyn, Reagon, Lily, Charley, Hawley, Evan, Ian and Laura.
Visitation Thursday 5 - 7 PM at mortuary. Graveside Service 10:30 AM Friday (5/3/24) at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorials to Irvington Fire Dept. or Suncrest Hospice.
