Deeply loved by his family: daughter, Janell Stedman; son-in-law, Jim Eisenhardt; Granddaughters, Stefanie Stedman Wiegmann (Caleb) and Rebecca Jonovich (Derek); great grandchildren Jackson, Samuel, Adelaide, Emma, Charlotte, and Nora. Sister, Clella Ault, nephews, and friends.

Vern retired from KETV Channel 7 after 35 years of service. An avid sports fan, he loved watching Nebraska football and volleyball.
