Vern Robert Huntley

Preceded in death by his mother, Rose, and father, Veo, sisters Mae, Leela, Vera, Lois, and Ellajean; brothers Bill and Jack.   

Survived by loyal wife of 62 years, Sharon; son, Dale, daughter in law, Cheryl, and grandchildren, Kaylene and Billy; daughter, Terri, grand-dogs Elsa, Maggie and Piper; and his sweet dog, Shadow; chosen son, Rusty and wife, Chrissy, several nieces and nephews and extended family, as well.  

Vern was a proud union bricklayer of almost 50 years and has many co-workers and friends from his time on the line. 

Instead of a funeral, Vern requested a simple celebration of life at VFW, 8904 Military Road, Omaha, NE, on Saturday, 3/23/24, from 12 – 3 PM. Vern was also a big animal lover and squirrel whisperer. Any memorials should be made in his name to either Nebraska Wildlife Rehab (Nebraskawildliferehab.org) or Nebraska No Kill Canine Rescue (Nebraskanokill.org).
