Tom P. Dudley, Sr.

Thomas Patrick Dudley Sr., age 61, passed away the evening of September 28, 2026. He was born on March 21, 1965 in Omaha, Nebraska, to his parents Norman and Janet.

Tom grew up in the town of Gretna, Nebraska, and called it home for his entire life. As a young man, he loved watching wrestling, tinkering on cars, and running amok with his friends. Tom’s older siblings remember him as a playful mama’s boy who had fun teasing his “bonehead” nieces.

He was a devoted husband who made his wife feel adored and loved in so many ways, like painting her toenails or giving her flowers just because. He was a caring father who always showed up for his children, whether it was a ball game or concert, a scraped knee or creepy grasshopper, a broken-down car or one that just needed an oil change – anything – he could be counted on to be there. He was a loyal brother, a great friend, a dependable and hardworking man, and so much more.

Tom was a smart, protective person of high integrity and he will forever be remembered for his good heart, dry sense of humor, and a laugh that had everyone around him laughing too. He will be missed immensely by all who knew and loved him.

Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Karrie; his parents, Norman and Janet Dudley; his brother-in-law, Jim Clines; and his grandson, Timothy Sorensen Jr. He is survived by his children Stephanie Sorensen, Stacie Stoll, Amanda (Alex) Fangman, Thomas Dudley Jr., and Dylan (Madison) Dudley; his brother, Bill (Linda) Dudley; his sisters, Cathie Clines and Margaret (Bob) Plourde; his partner Tiffany Mayer; and his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday (10/7/2026) at Roeder Mortuary Gretna Chapel. Service 10:30 AM Thursday (10/8/2026) at Roeder Mortuary 11710 Standing Stone Dr. Gretna, NE; Burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Gretna, NE. There will be a luncheon, after services, at Gretna American Legion.
