Timothy Lawry

Timothy "Tim" Lawry, age 67, passed away peacefully at his home in Gretna, Nebraska, on August 14, 2026.

A true Nebraskan at heart, Tim loved watching Husker football with family and friends. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, canoeing down the Platte River, and riding his motorcycles. His sense of humor, hearty smile, and love for life's adventures will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Anton “Tony” and Irene Lawry, and his brother, Joseph Lawry.

Tim is survived by his wife, Jeanette "Susie" Dietzel; daughters Katherine "Katie" Lawry, Emily "Mimi" Lawry, Julia Lawry. Stepchildren Lauren Borcher and Chris Dietzel; sisters Mary Lawry and Ann Shahwan; as well as his grandchildren, nieces, great-nephews, extended family, and many very good friends.

Visitation 5:00 – 7:00 PM Thursday (8/20/2026) with Rosary 6:30 PM at Roeder Mortuary - Gretna Chapel; Funeral Mass 10:30 AM Friday (8/21/2026) at St. Patrick Catholic Church 508 Angus St. Gretna, NE.  

There will also be a Celebration of Life (Barbecue & Bonfire) 4:00 PM Saturday (8/22/2026) at 25205 Ruff Rd. Gretna, NE. Please wear your Husker gear to the Celebration of Life and bring your own chair, your favorite beverages/BYOB, and your best "Tim Bob" stories to share.
