Omaha, NETimothy Donald Konecny, 62, passed away February 13, 2025. Tim was born November 10, 1962, in Council Bluffs, IA to Robert and Nikki (Hartkopf) Konecny. He lived his entire life in the Council Bluffs and Omaha area.
Tim is preceded in death by his mother: Nikki. He is survived by his loving wife: Alice (Roberts) Konecny; his father: Robert (Connie) Konecny; son: Andrew (Carmen) Konecny; daughter: Chelsie (Josh) Seebohm; and six grandchildren.
Tim grew up in Council Bluffs, and was a graduate of Lewis Central, where he played football, and 'entertained' classmates and teachers, alike. He spent several years in Lewis Township Volunteer Fire Department where he helped formulate the Water Rescue Unit.
Tim spent 4 years in the Marine Corps and an additional 16 years in the National Guard and Army Reserves as Medic and ANOC Leadership Instructor at 1/209th Regiment NCO Academy, Ashland, NE, and retired an E7. He worked for various companies in animal health pharmaceutical industry until he became disabled. He also earned his degree, Suma Cum Laude, in Communications from Bellevue University in Bellevue, NE.
Tim and Alice married on July 6, 2015, in Queens County, New York, and moved back ‘home’ to live the rest of their lives, together, enjoying family and friends. Tim loved NASCAR, was an avid collector of ‘action figures – not dolls’, and military memorabilia.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 - 5:00 PM Sunday (3/9/2025) at American Legion Post 32 230 W Lincoln St. #201 Papillion, NE 68046.
There will be a burial of Tim's ashes 10:00 AM Friday (5/16/2025) at Omaha National Cemetery 14250 Schram Road Omaha, NE 68138.
***Please bring a written prayer or memory, about Tim, with you to the cemetery. They will be place with him for the burial.***
