He was a long time cardiac ultrasound technologist at Creighton Cardiology at Creighton University. He served in the United States Marine Corps. Member of VFW Post #374.
Music was a life long learning experience. He did not read music but he played by ear and played well. His high school rock band carried on through adulthood even having weekly jam sessions just up until a few months ago. His interests were widespread but faith, music, friends and his family were very important to him. He loved his children as babies, teenagers and especially as adults. He enjoyed his six grandchildren and was especially attentive to their sports and their creative endeavors. Vacations were a top priority. In the beginning of his married life, trips to Colorado were usually tied to the soccer tournaments of both kids. Gradually they actually went on vacations that did not involve sports. The last family vacation was in Hawaii right before Erik was married. However, that did not stop them from taking the new family members on vacation with them several times more.
Tim and Chris fell in love with the tropical paradise and the island life. It became a yearly vacation spot for them. Just being together was what made them happy. Even in retirement, Chris would sit in her chair while Tim dozed on and off on the couch. They were happy just to be in the same room. Sitting on the beach holding hands, talking, laughing and watching the sunset will always be a fond memory. They honored their wedding vows to each other and cherished their deep friendship.
