Thelma Terrell

Age 97 - Thelma Terrell was born April 14,1925 to Chaney and Matthew Williams in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. She was called home with the Lord, Wednesday December 7, 2022.

Thelma accomplished many things in her life. Her most treasured accomplishments where her children and her family. Thelma enjoyed cooking making quilts and going to the casino. Thelma was the life of the party and knew how to cut a rug (dance) one of her favorite sayings was “I have love in my heart, and money in my pocket.” Thelma was a firecracker and she lived life to the fullest and there was never a dull moment when she was around. Thelma would always offer her family a warm meal, a warm bed, or a place to stay.

She accepted Christ at an early age and was very involved in church. She was a usher for over a decade at Pentecostal Holy Ghost Church, under Reverend Geraldine Hyte.

She was proceeded in death by her parents Chaney and Mathew Williams. Sons: Johnny D and Dan Brothers Sidney, Hosie, Pete, Walter Sisters: Ida, Ada, Mary, and Johnnie Mae, and granddaughter Marquita Terrell (Kiki). She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters Lena (Paul) Terrell White Teresa (Charles) Jackson; daughter-in-law, Joann Jones, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great children, nieces, nephews, friends, family, and loved ones.

Services will be held Thursday (12/15/2022) at Roeder Mortuary, 4932 Ames Avenue   Omaha, NE. Viewing from 10:00 – 11:00 AM with Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment at Mount Hope. Memorials to the family.
