Terrice (Terry) Carlton Childress, born on January 31, 1949, passed away on September 16, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bessie Nolan Dooley Childress and Silas Allen Childress; and by siblings Ira Allen Childress, Wilma Clyde Brummet, Winnie Louelle Corey, Grace Valeria Ethridge, Hugh Merle Childress, Thomas Lee Childress, and Bessie Dretha Potwin. He leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience.

Terry is survived by his devoted sister, Linda Sue Childress Coleman; his sons, Jamie Childress (Heather) and Troy Childress; three grandchildren, Robert, Sabrena, and Tasia; and seven great-grandchildren who brought him much joy.

A distinguished retiree of the United States Air Force, Terry also dedicated his career to serving the state of Mississippi and Fox Systems. His commitment to service extended beyond his professional life—he was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, whose values guided him in all that he did.

Terry was an avid golfer and a passionate supporter of Ole Miss sports, often sharing his love for the game with family and friends. His warm spirit, unwavering faith, and devotion to family will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 22, at 3:30 PM at Omaha National Cemetery, 14250 Schram Road, Omaha, NE 68138. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Samaritan's Purse or Wounded Warrior Project, reflecting the kindness and generosity he showed throughout his life.
