Steven M. Cockerill

Steven Michael Cockerill born in Omaha, NE Nov. 1, 1961 and passed away Nov. 20, 2016. Steve attended Platteview High School and after graduation Steve stayed home to help with the family feed lot, trucking company and farming. Steve loved the farm and started selling used farm equipment which started Cockerill Equipment.

Steve lived his entire life in Springfield but has always wanted to move to western Nebraska or Wyoming. His love for Wyoming Cowboy football was great.

Steve married Barbara Eliker  June 23, 2006, he became a stepfather and grandfather on that day and stepped up to be the best.

Steve has strong ties with many people all over the state. He has many friends and family.
Visitation Sunday 3-5 PM with Vigil Service 5 PM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church Springfield, NE. Funeral Service Monday 10:30 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church Springfield, NE 100 9th Street Springfield, NE. Interment Fairview Cemetery at  Papillion, Nebraska.  Memorials to the family to be determined later.
