Shirlee M. Collier

12/28/1930 - 5/9/2019

Shirlee M. Collier, 88, of Omaha,
NE, went to be with the Lord on May 9, 2019. Shirlee was born December 28, 1930
in Omaha, NE to Andreas and Anna Jensen. She graduated from South High School
in 1948 and later went on to take classes from Iowa Western Community College.

She married Fred E. Collier in
February 1952 and with this union they had 4 children; Kathy, Fred, and twins
James and Jane.

She had a love for gardening and
enjoyed working at a truck garden for part of her life and became known as the
“farmer” to her children. Her interests included, family, gardening, sewing,
collecting pens and pencils, and working crossword puzzles. Later in life, she
liked to relax in her home and watch her game shows. Her wittiness and sense of
humor shown through in every moment.

Mrs. Collier is preceded in death
by spouse Fred E. Collier Sr., sons Fred E. Collier Jr., and James P.
Collier. She is survived by her sister Dorothy Bergelt, her daughters Kathy
Collier and Jane P. Halstead, husband John Halstead, 4 grandchildren- John
Halstead II , Anthony Halstead , Danny Collier , and
Staci Ferrera , 7 great grandchildren- Lilly Halstead, Eli Halstead,
Etta Halstead, Danni Collier, Maggie Collier, Rebel Ferrera, and Dixie Ferrera.

Visitation:  Friday, May 17, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Roeder Mortuary, 2727 N. 108

Street. Funeral Services:  9:30 am Saturday, May 18, 2019 also at the Mortuary. Interment: Forest Lawn Cemetery.
