It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Sherry Lynn Goetz of Omaha, Nebraska on Saturday, 3/23/2024, at the age of 75 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Paul of 56 years; children: Matt Goetz; Jeff Goetz; Melissa Hill; Jennifer Ross (Jason); grandchildren: Sadie, Bailey, Cheyenne, Caleb, Abby, Tatum, Tinsley; and great grandchild: Jerry
She was predeceased by her loving parents: Bonnie and Clarence Reard; sister: Becky Haga.
Sherry spent her entire life in Omaha, Nebraska except for 2 years while her husband was stationed at Mather Air Force Base in Sacramento, California.
Sherry loved to travel with her family on their annual summer vacations across the United States with many funny stories that are talked about even today.
Sherry loved to attend her grandchildren’s numerous sporting activities and events. She was their number 1 fan and was always recognized in the stands.
Something not known to many, Sherry had a huge love for her many grand dogs.
The Goetz household has been a divided household as Sherry was a huge Nebraska Husker fan while Paul was a huge Iowa Hawkeye fan. Everyone knew who Sherry was cheering for on College Football Saturdays.
Sherry had a big heart and frequently donated money to numerous worthy organizations. A few would be her church Florence Christian, The Open Door Mission, and The National Federation of the Blind.
