Sheila McQueen passed away peacefully after a long and meaningful life devoted to family, friendship, and the education of children. She was the beloved wife of 50 years, a devoted mother of two children, and a proud grandmother who found her greatest joy in time spent with her family. Sheila was also a cherished aunt to countless cousins and a trusted friend to many throughout her life.
For over 40 years, Sheila served as a 3rd grade teacher at Our Lady of Lourdes, where she dedicated herself to her students with patience, warmth, and unwavering commitment. Her classroom was a place of encouragement and discovery, and her influence extended far beyond the walls of the school. Generations of students benefited from her care and guidance, many of whom carried her lessons with them long after leaving her classroom.
Sheila will be remembered for her kind spirit, her steady presence, and her ability to make everyone around her feel valued. She approached life with grace and humility, finding joy in simple moments and meaning in helping others.
Above all, Sheila’s family was at the heart of everything she did. She treasured time spent with her loved ones and built a home that was welcoming, supportive, and full of laughter.
Sheila’s life was defined by compassion, dedication, and quiet strength. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, colleagues, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
