Sheila k. hill

Sheila Kay Hill, 61 of Gretna, Nebraska formerly of Missouri and Iowa passed away doing what she loved, at work, on May 23, 2023.  She was born on January 9, 1962, in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Larry and Sharon (“Sherry” May) Hayes.  Sheila was raised in Council Bluffs and graduated from Lewis Central High School.

Sheila was united in marriage to Judson L. Golka, Sr. on June 20, 1981.  To this union two children were born, Judson (J.J.) and Jason.  She was married to her late husband, Daniel (Dan) Hill, on September 1, 1995.  Sheila has held several occupations but the one she dedicated over 25 years of her life to was her most recent position as a med aid for assisted living residents.  In addition to tending to medical needs of residents, she took pride in getting to know her residents on a personal level by learning about their interests and their families.  Sheila will be remembered as a devoted care giver, daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.    

Preceding Shelia in her passing were her mother, Sharon Hayes; her husband: Daniel Hill. Survivors include her father: Larry Hayes; brother: Lonnie (Melinda) Hayes; sister: Sue (Willy) Corrin; children: Judson (Angie) and Jason; grandchildren: J.T. and Rose; extended relatives and many friends.
