Shawn Bosselman, of Fremont, Ne, passed December 1 in Omaha, exactly 51 years after his birth in 1972, in Grand Island, Ne. A beautiful blonde haired, blue eyed boy was born to Jean Treadway (Johnson) and Alan Bosselman.
After moving to Fremont in third grade, Shawn spent most of his childhood hopping on his bike, grabbing his fishing poles and friends and heading down to the Fremont Lakes. After graduating from Fremont High in 1991, he went to work building homes up, down and all around eastern Nebraska. Shawn was incredibly talented, a jack of all trades, always sharing his knowledge and willing to lend a hand; many a friend and family have a ‘built by Shawn’ room in their home.
To know him was to love him. He carried a certain sense of calm into every room, there wasn’t a place he couldn’t walk into without making friends. From jr lanes bowling, to being ranked 58th in the state for cornhole, he enjoyed competing, always up for a game. Shawn also enjoyed camping and family, often merging the two. He impacted many lives and will continue to do so after his passing, a magnetic light, gone too soon.
Shawn is survived by children, Hilary (Ryan), Tjay (Cassie), Hunter and Gunner, grandchildren, Ryleigh, Quintin, Kinzleigh, Cooper, Greyson, Logan, Avyn, Grahm and Ember. He also leaves behind his parents and sisters, Shelley (Bobby), Christi (Eddie), and Julie.
