Rosemary L. Skipper

To our beloved Granny: "Goodbye, for now."

Today, with an heavy heart, we say "Goodbye for now" to our Granny, Rosemary Lorraine Skipper.

Granny was born in Atchison, Kansas, on Thursday, March 8th, 1934.  She was one of five children to Eddie and Geraldine Willow Briggs. She moved to Omaha, Nebraska at age five after her mother Geraldine passed away from pneumonia, she was raised by her grandmother Ora Blanche Douglas, and attended school in Omaha.

Granny had three beautiful children that she loved with all of her heart. Vicky (Joe), Oran, and Todd. She  also had 53 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Our Granny had enough love for each and everyone of us. And she always taught us right from wrong, how to conduct ourselves in a fine manner, and instilled in us love for Jehovah our God at a very early age.

Granny was a kind-hearted woman who always put others before herself.  She loved spending time with her family and friends. She accumulated a great wealth of practical knowledge over the years.  She was always eager to share her knowledge to benefit others.

She was an active member of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.  She really enjoyed witnessing publicly from house to house and door to door.  She would take every opportunity to tell others of her hope for the future--everlasting life in paradise on earth.  Freedom from sickness, tears, pain, crying and sorrow.  Welcoming back resurrected ones who have fallen asleep in death.  We long to welcome you back Granny!!

Our Granny passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 11, 2023. Granny was preceded in death by her husband of many years Ira Skipper.

Our Granny was truly the BEST GRANNY IN THE WORLD. She would make the time to be special for each and everyone of us.   Granny will be deeply missed by all who knew her.  Her kindness, generosity and love will never be forgotten.

She ended every phone conversation by saying, "Goodbye for now."  We love you Granny.

Goodbye for now, Granny.
