Ronald E. Phillips

Omaha - Ron E. Phillips was born March 25, 1937 in Tecumseh, NE. to Clyde & Esther Phillips. His family lived briefly in AZ. & then returned to NE.

Ron graduated from Tecumseh High School & then from UNL with a degree in business. He married Karen Pohlman on May 7, 1961. 

He worked for Liberty Mutual for 36 years & was a past president of the Omaha Claims Council. While employed by Liberty Mutual, he moved family to Evansville, IN, St. Louis, MO. & South Bend, IN., before moving to Omaha in 1969. He was an active member of Lutheran Church of The Master. After retirement Ron volunteered for the American Red Cross.

Ron loved to take his family to the mountains of Colorado, Wyoming & Montana. He was a hard worker & humble, honest & honorable man, devoted to his family.

He died on July 13, 2024 and he will be dearly missed. 

 Preceded in death by parents, infant brother Kenneth, infant son Michael. 

He is survived by wife Karen, children Julie Phillips, John Phillips & David Phillips, grandson Christopher Amsden, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, brother & sister-in-law & friends. 

Visitation Wednesday 9:30 – 10:30 AM with Memorial Service 10:30 AM Wednesday (7/17/24) at Lutheran Church of The Master 2617 S 114th St. Memorials L.C.M. Bldg. Fund, Josie Harper Hospice House, NE Humane Society.
