Ronald A. Hollerup

Ron A Hollerup 81 years old. He passed away 6-26-26 peacefully at home after a long illness with Parkinson. He was born 10-3-44 in Kansas City, Missouri. He passed on 6-26-26.

After graduation from North High School in 1964, he went to Universal Trade School for Automotive Mechanics. Following, he worked for HP Smith Ford, then received an offer from Atchley Ford and then finished his career at Omaha Public Schools Transportation.

Ron met his wife on a blind date as sophomores and got married a year after graduating from High School (4-10-65). They had 2 children, Daughter: Jennifer born 1970 and Son: Brian.1972

Ron had a great love for camping and traveling with family. He had membership at Riverland campground, in Blair, for many years then bought into Woodland Campground at Little Sioux, IA. Along the way, he was elected President of the Association and was there for several years. When retiring, he spent winters in Donna Texas at Bit of Heaven until 3 years ago when we sold.

He enjoyed his hobbies with RC cars, building and flying model planes and HO trains.

He will be missed by many.

Ron is survived by his wife of 61 years: Lois (Perrigo); daughter: Jennifer; son: Brian; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters: Linda Johnsonand Nancy Foster.

Visitation 5:00-7:00 PM Monday (6/29/2026) at Roeder Mortuary 108th Chapel; Service 11:00 AM Tuesday (6/30/2026) at Roeder Mortuary 2727 N. 108th St. Omaha, NE; Burial Forest Lawn Cemetery Omaha, NE.
