Robert L. Hampton

Robert Louis Hampton age 87 born December 28th 1928 to Walter and Florence Hampton in Chadron, NE, died November 11, 2016 in Omaha NE where he lived for many years.  Bob graduated from Chadron Prep High School and received a bachelor's degree from Chadron State College. He served in the Army during the Korean War.  He married Ramona Jenkins in 1955.  Bob worked many years as a engineer and train master for the Chicago Northwestern railroad in Chadron,   Bob was very active in the Elks club, VFW and American Legion.

He is preceded in death by his wife Ramona, parents Walter and Florence Hampton and sister Hope Weaver.  He is survived by children Teresa, Bobby and Mike Hampton, and Tammy Langfeldt.  He is also survived by brother James Hampton and seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Visitation 9:00 - 10:00 AM Tuesday at 108th Chapel; Funeral Mass 10:00 AM Tuesday at Roeder Mortuary - 108th Chapel, 2727 N. 108th Street Omaha, Nebraska; Time of sharing with family immediately following service. Graveside Ceremony at Chadron’s Catholic cemetery on Friday at 11:00 AM.
