Robert Lee Huntley

Robert Lee Huntley, 78, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025 surrounded by loved ones.

Born to William A. and Rose Zellar Huntley in 1946 in Winona, Mississippi. Robert moved to Omaha in 1968 with his parents and brothers, beginning a lifelong journey rooted in resilience, dedication, and family.

In his early years in Omaha, Robert made a living working maintenance at the local mall and operating the hide machine at the packing house. He was no stranger to hard work and eventually channeled that drive into starting his own lawn care business in 1986- a venture that reflected his deep love for the outdoors and his entrepreneurial spirit.

Robert was blessed with four children: Daughters Erica (1972), and Angelique (1975). In December of 1980 he met the love of his life, Natalie, and the two had Donnae (2000) and his only son Rashawn (1986). On July 7, 2007, the two were married after many years together.

A true family man. Robert Lee found his greatest joy in the simple pleasures of life- cutting grass, fishing, gardening, and playing with his grandchildren. He loved relaxing in his truck while listening to music. Robert often had a joke or a sharp comeback ready that would leave everyone laughing. His strong will, sharp humor, and generous heart made him unforgettable to all who knew him.

Robert is survived by his loving wife Natalie, brother Otis, his 4 children, 11 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents William and Rose, and his siblings Wardell, Willie, Andrew, and Melzina. 

Robert Lee leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and hard-earned wisdom. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
