Robert C. Erwin

Robert Charles Erwin was born August 7,1956 in East Liverpool, Ohio. The second of 5 children of Betty and Bill Erwin. The Erwin family relocated from Ohio to Omaha in 1959.Bob grew up in the Stillmeadow housing development in Northwest Omaha. He attended Hartman Elementary School, Nathan Hale Middle School and graduated from Northwest High School in 1974. In 1976 Bob enlisted in the U.S. Marines Corps for a four-year stint. While serving in the Marines he was an Aviation Structure Maintenance Specialist. He also was awarded a medal as a Rifle Expert. He was married to Mary Honke Erwin for 25 years and together they had 2 sons: Andrew and Christopher. Aside from living and working in California for a short while Bob spent his working career in Nebraska in various industries. He was a welder. He also spent time working for Cox Communications. His final job was working in the Maintenance Department at Village Point shopping mall. Bob spent the last 5 years of his life residing in The Eastern Nebraska Veterans Home until he passed away on March 11,2023.
