Robert M. Cooper

Beginning with his first great-grandchild’s birth and continuing through his 23rd he was and still is known as Bob the Great (BTG). Robert M. Cooper left this earth on May 19 after 95 years. Throughout his life everyone knew him to be a great son, husband, father of three, grandfather of ten, uncle, friend, mentor, coach and fan. BTG centered his life on serving and caring for family and friends. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years Shirley and daughter Holly (Barry) Cooper Bonessi. He proudly served as a member of the 82nd Airborne. He is survived by sons Bob (Judy) and Kim (Lynn) and his 33 grands and great grands. Surviving also is his love and care for every one of us! 

Service at Omaha National Cemetery 10:00am, July 31, 2024 followed by reception remembering BTG at First Christian Church, Ashland.
