Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI Robert was born in Oshtemo, Michigan to Nathan and Gertrude Hull, on January 29, 1924 and passed away April 14, 2020 at the age of 96 in Omaha, Nebraska. He served in the US Army during WWII and the Korean War.  He made Second Lieutenant by age of 19 and retired as a Major in December of 1962. Robert had many talents and interests. After retiring from the military, he owned the Hull Family Party Store in Texas Township, Michigan, and also built the house that he and his family lived in for decades to come. During his time in the military, the family was stationed all over the world, including France, Japan, and Saipan. These experiences led to a life-long love of travel, especially taking cruises with his wife and grandchildren. His other hobbies include: woodworking, being a ham radio operator, attending ham radio festivals, golfing, enjoying his Harley Davidson motorcycles, photography, and letterpress printing . Robert is preceded in death by wife Phyllis L. and daughter Peggy J. Hanchar. He is survived by daughter, Kathleen Blackman of Omaha, Nebraska; son, Thomas Hull of Grand Rapids, Michigan, 4 grandchildren, Sarah, Angela, Alisha, and Michael, and 2 great–grandchildren; Ella and Luke. Memorials can be made to Hospice of Omaha or your local RMCH Ronald McDonald Children’s Charity.
