Richard Felix Molettiere

Richard Felix Molettiere

Richard was the son of Felix and Stella Molettiere.  He was born and raised in Lansdale, Pennsylvania.   He attended Doane College in Crete, Nebraska, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree, and the University of Nebraska Omaha where he obtained his Master degree in Secondary Education.   Richard was employed by Omaha Public Schools, first as a teacher at Bryan Junior High School, and then as a technology coordinator at Omaha North High School for over 30 years.  He also held the position of Adjunct Professor at Peru State College for several years.  Richard played an important role in the Nebraska Educational Technology Association (NETA), a volunteer organization working for improved technology education in Nebraska schools.  He held the positions of President and Treasurer over the course of 40 years.   In addition, he was honored with the Secondary Education Technology Leader of the Year award in 2004.

 

Richard was preceded in death by his father, Felix Molettiere.   He is survived by his wife, Sharon, and their three children: Michael (Lisa); Matthew (Courtney); Christina (Jeff).   He has 8 grandchildren: Josiah, Kenley, Grant, Levi, Chloe, Stella, Charlie and Ethan.  He is also survived by: sisters; Deborah (Robert); Terri-Lynne (Jeff); brother Tom (Mary); several nieces and nephews; his mother, Stella.

 

Visitation Friday 10 - 11 AM at Roeder Mortuary. Memorial Service 11:00 AM Friday (4/19/24) at Roeder Mortuary. 

Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Gretna, NE.
