Raymond R. Wiblishouser

Raymond Ralph Wiblishouser, age 68, of Bennington, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Blair on March 24, 1957, Ray spent his early years in Kennard and attended school in Arlington before moving to Blair, where he finished his education and graduated in 1975. In 1996, Ray and his wife Lisa made Bennington the place where they built their life, their business & raised their family. Ray was the proud owner and operator of Ray’s Quality Towing for nearly 25 years, followed by owning Bennington Auto Sales until his retirement in 2016. A lifelong car enthusiast, Ray never met a car he couldn’t clean — and took great pride in every vehicle that came through his hands. He loved NASCAR, race cars, and spent years sponsoring and owning several of them himself. Ray was known as a true character — witty, sharp, and full of life. His legendary man cave was a sacred space filled with pool cues, pinball machines, shuffleboard tables, sports, and football games — always cheering on his beloved Nebraska Cornhuskers and Denver Broncos. Above all, Ray cherished his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Wiblishouser, and his children, Kyle and Kristen Wiblishouser. He adored his daughter-in-law, Brianna, and became a proud grandfather to Carter Holmes Wiblishouser shortly before he passed. He was a hands-on father, known for keeping car seats in the tow truck so his kids could ride along on the job — turning everyday work into time well spent. Ray had a big heart for animals and was a lifelong dog lover — especially to his beloved companion, Yogi Bear. He welcomed Kristen and Kyle’s many friends like they were part of the family — usually out in the shed, shooting pool, swapping stories, and making everyone feel right at home.

We find comfort in the promise of Romans 8:18:

"The pain that you’ve been feeling cannot compare to the joy that is coming."
