RaShad D. Harris

RaShad DuPree Harris, age 38, born June 12, 1985 in Omaha, Nebraska to Rodney and Saundra Harris. He attended Lothrop and Rose Hill Elementary Schools, Bryan Middle School, Alpha School, Burke High School, and graduated from Papillion-LaVista Senior High School. RaShad enjoyed being with his family and friends and riding his motorcycle. 

RaShad's first job was at Burger King. He also worked at First Data, Cox Communications, and Walmart as an assistant manager. Most recently, RaShad worked at FCC. Rashad was raised and baptized at Mount Calvary Community Church, where he played the drums for the Mass and Young Adult Choirs. RaShad could grab your attention for hours talking about the Bible and keep you laughing while reminiscing on his childhood. He also played the drums in the Mount Calvary Marching Knights Drill Team as a teenager. 

RaShad is preceded in death by his father, Rodney K. Harris, grandfather, Harry W. Carter, grandparents, Johnnie and Maggie Harris, aunts, Charlotte Gaines, Elaine Johnson, Dorcas Brown, and Cynthia Harris, uncles, Johnnie Harris, Jr., Anthony Williams, and Randell Harris, great-grandparents, Theodore and Alberta Gaines, and sister, LaTricia Harris. 

He lives to cherish his memories, wife, Megan Harris, children, RaShaun, RaShad II, Rome, Royce, RyLeigh, and RyElle Harris, mother, Saundra Harris, grandparents, Norma Carter, brother, Victor Williams, sisters, LaShon and LaKesha Willias, Johnetta Harris,  Godbrother, Billy Quartey, and aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. 

Visitation: Thursday (11/30/2023) 5-7 PM at Roeder Mortuary – Ames Chapel.  Funeral Service: Friday (12/1/2023) 11 AM at Mount Calvary Community Church, 5112 Ames Avenue,   Omaha, NE. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Omaha, NE.
