Hillcrest Memorial Park Phyllis was born on August 12, 1926 and passed away peacefully on December 7, 2020. She lived in Omaha all her life. In 1949, she married Gene Gentry and they had two children, Peggy and Dennis Gentry. Phyllis was a kind and a loving woman, always caring for and helping others. She was a wonderful mother, sister and grandmother, and was very proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. We all have many happy memories of our times with her, and we miss her deeply. Time spent with friends was a special part of her life. Her faith and church were very important to her. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church for over 70 years, and was very active in church organizations and Stephens Ministry. Phyllis enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, crocheting, playing cards and other interests. In later years, she had many health challenges. True to her nature, she never complained, and met all adversities with grace and dignity. She was preceded in death by husband Gene, sister and brother-in-law Evelyn Sander , and nephew Tom Sander. She is survived by daughter Peggy and Son Dennis ; grandchildren Jen Foltz , and Ryan Gentry ; great grandchildren Ellie and Gracie Foltz and Stella, Cash and Crosby Gentry; nieces, nephews and cousin. There will be no visitation. Private family graveside service and burial at Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery. Memorials to First Presbyterian Church, 216 S. 34 th St. Omaha, NE. 68131
