Penelope D. Cassano

Penelope Darlene Cassano (Penny), age 14, passed away peacefully on May 13 surrounded by love.

Penny was a bright soul who battled a lifetime of many obstacles given to her by Rett Syndrome. She enjoyed Disney Princess movies, going to school, the zoo and sleeping in on the weekends. Above all, Penny loved being with people and brought smiles and laughter into everyday moments with her simple looks, brilliant smiles and expressions.

Penny is lovingly remembered by her parents: Erin and Andy; her brother: Jacob; and grandparents: Dianne, Richard, Jim; and the many people who came into her life. Penny's time with us was far too short, but the love shared and the memories created will remain forever. 

There will be a Visitation from (TIME CHANGE) 3:00 - 5:00 PM Monday (5/18/2026) at Roeder Mortuary 11710 Standing Stone Dr. Gretna, Nebraska.
