Paula Kaye Rohl

Paula K. Rohl, 59, of Omaha passed away on September 19, 2024 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center after a 9 month battle with leukemia. She was born June 20, 1965 to Vane and Mary (Duffy) Miller. Paula graduated from Yankton High School and SDSU. 

From Paula’s marriage to Stephen Beukelman came her first son, Ethan. She later married Rick Rohl. They moved to Hawaii where their sons Samuel and Dakoda were born. Grandpa Vane would later refer to the boys as “The Big Three”! Her biggest joy in life were her sons, and recently her grandson, Asher. Among other things, Paula loved dancing, reading and daisies. 

Paula is survived by her sons Ethan Beukelman of Brookings, SD, Dakoda Rohl (Haley Walter), daughter-in-law Madalyne Rohl, grandson Asher all of Omaha, sister Pamela (Frank) Fryer of Hartford, SD, aunts Sarah Wetrich of Sioux Falls, SD and Marlene Duffy of Brookings,SD.  Paula was preceded in death by her son Samuel, her parents Vane and Mary Miller, grandparents Earl and Elsie Miller and Thomas and Monica Duffy, uncles Jack Farmer, Bernard Duffy, James Duffy and Donald Wetrich and aunts Dorothy Farmer and Joan Duffy. 

There will be a casual remembrance gathering on Saturday, September 28 from 2-4 in the All Purpose Room at Trail Ridge Senior Living Center, 3408 W. Ralph Rogers Road, Sioux Falls. All are welcome.
