Our beloved father, grandfather, and brother, Paul Pankers passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones  on April 15th, 2024, at the age of 85. He is survived by his daughter, Marne Hyde (Robert) grandson, Dylan Pankers, son in law, Robert Bally, son, Steve Pankers, sister, Sharon Waller (Roger) and brothers Bruce (Joeni) and Larry. 

Paul was born in Omaha, NE on October 20th, 1938, to Paul and Dorothy Pankers. Paul had a lifelong military career. He retired from the Airforce in 1998 with over 20 years served. One of his biggest achievements is Master Sargent ranking.

Paul also worked for Millard Public Schools for several years. 

Paul was born during World War II. During his childhood, Paul developed a love for airplanes and World War II history. 

Paul had a few hobbies. He enjoyed building and painting World War II model airplanes. He also enjoyed going to car shows with his 1965 Mustang, and fishing with his grandson. 

Paul was very sociable and loved talking to people. He enjoyed making people laugh and talking about his world travels.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ron and daughter, Linde Bally

A celebration of Paul’s life will be held at Roeder Mortuary, 11710 Standing Stone Drive, Gretna, NE, 68028, Visitation Tuesday, April 23rd, 2024 from 5-7PM.  Service on Wednesday, April 24th, 2024, at 10:30 AM.  We invite all who knew him to join us in honoring his memory and sharing stories of his remarkable life. The burial will be shortly after the service (as we have to follow their time table/schedule) at Omaha National Cemetery, 14250 Schram Rd., Omaha, NE, 68138, at 1:30PM.  The family would appreciate donations go to the Omaha Veterans Administration in Paul’s name in lieu of flowers or other gifts.

May he rest in peace, knowing that his legacy of love, kindness, and laughter will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
