Otis D. Walker

Otis Daniel Walker was born in Prescott, Arkansas on March 27, 1938, to John Aron Walker and Pearlie Burton. His mother died when he was just six months old, and his father brought him up in Prescott, Arkansas until he turned eleven. He accepted Christ at the early age of 4. His father relocated to Omaha, NE where he eventually met and married Lela Parks, who Otis referred to as mother. His father passed away when he was 16, and Lela Parks eventually remarried Booker Woods who took him in as their own.

Otis was a hard worker and a jack of many trades. He started working for G & G Manufacturing Company in 1972 and retired in 2023. Otis also kept a part-time job that he retired from in 2024. In his younger days, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and traveling south every year to visit family. He could fix just about anything from cars, plumbing work, welding, etc. He loved to stay busy and work on just about anything.

During his different seasons in life, Otis met and had children with four phenomenal women, Marguerite Fields, Charlean Ferguson, Velma Woolfok-Walker and Jessie Tribble. He married Velma Woolfolk on March 14, 1997. Otis loved his wife and children dearly; he was a firm man but would do the world for them.
