Elkhorn - Michael (Mike) George Sabbag), 81, of Omaha, NE, peacefully passed away on April 17, 2024. Born October 26th, in Boston MA, to Elias (Louis) and Edith (Marguerite) Sabbag. Throughout his life, Mike was fiercely passionate about sports, including Nebraska Huskers football and Boston Red Sox baseball.
After graduating high school in 1960 from New Berlin, NH, Mike enlisted in the United States Air Force as a communication specialist and served in the Vietnam war. He was stationed at Offutt Air Force Base and discharged in 1968, and made his life in Omaha. Mike was a tradesman and held different roles throughout his life, including a carpenter, a framer, and drove a truck locally and over the road. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing, boating or spending time at his cabin on the river.
Mike was predeceased in death by his parents, Elias and Edit Sabbag, Judy Sabbag, Meredith (Max) Sabbag, and Shirley Sabbag. He is survived by his son Mark (Amy) Sabbag and daughter Michelle (Scott) Pierson. Grandchildren, Tayler (Tyler) Plagge, Ashley (Cory) Van de Walle, Ben Pierson, and Lauren Pierson. Great grandchildren Ava & Ashton Plagge and Addison Van de Walle. Brothers Allen (Cindy) Sabbag, and Richard (Dede) Sabbag.
