Michael Bruce Larsen

Michael Bruce Larsen, age 71, of Fremont, Nebraska, passed away tragically on July 31, 2025, in a car accident involving a semi-truck. His beloved dog and faithful companion, Tucker, was also lost in the accident — two kindred souls who journeyed through life together and left this world side by side.

Born on May 30, 1954, Michael lived with unshakable spirit, boundless curiosity, and a heart full of mischief and warmth. He never outgrew the wonder of the world, always diving into life headfirst — whether it was treasure hunting in a dumpster, fishing at sunrise, splashing through unexpected mud holes, camping under the stars, or going to the playgrounds at Devil’s Slide and Hummel Park. He was a kid at heart, and he made sure everyone around him got to feel like one, too.

Michael was the life of every gathering — the one who turned stories into laughter and moments into lifelong memories. His zest for life was contagious, his presence unforgettable, and his love for family immeasurable.

He is survived by his devoted partner,, Elizabeth Johnson; his daughters, Mary Larsen, Amanda (Stefan) Miller, and Angela (Wyatt) Snyder; and his cherished grandchildren: Abigail (Alex), Jack, Courtney, and Charles Fogleman; Chad Raub; Savanna (Harley), Dallas, Jacob Phelps; Timothy, Thomas, Anthony Mauro; Alyssa, Stefan, Paisley, Addison, Ember, Kensley Miller; Destiny (William) Heir-Leif, Kayde Miller, Seth (Dakota) Fiester, Jordon Rodenbough, Tabitha (Dustin) Galvin and Ashley (Damien) Mixer.

He was also a proud great-grandfather to Olivia, Emila Partridge; Levi Still; Kaden, Peyton, Avery, Elina Heir-Leif; Finley, Xavian Miller; Layla Fiester; Kristopher, Eli Martinez; and Milena .

Michael is further survived by his brothers, Bob Larsen, Timothy Larsen, and Chris Larsen, as well as his loving nieces and nephews: Mackie, Zech, Tim, Leigh, Natalie, Audrey, Ted, Alby, Douglas, Codie, Travis, and CJ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Cora Larsen.

Michael’s legacy lives on in the stories, the laughter, and the bold, beautiful chaos of the family he loved so deeply. He taught us to find adventure in unexpected places, to love fearlessly, and to always find a reason to laugh — even if it meant getting a little muddy along the way.
