Mary Elizabeth Cain

Mary Elizabeth Mcjunkin was born August 18th of 1956 to Betty Mcjunkin & Willie Mcjunkin of Muskogee Oklahoma. 

She spent her early childhood in Summit, Oklahoma & Muskogee, Oklahoma where she attended the Muskogee school system & went on to graduate from Muskogee High in May of 1974. 

June of 1974 she would marry her husband Michael Cain of Muskogee, Oklahoma. 1975 the two of them would have their first born daughter Alicia Cain. In 1976 their second born daughter Tina Cain would be born, both in Muskogee Oklahoma. In February of 1978 she would give birth to her oldest son Rodney Cain

In 1978 Mary & her 3 children moved to Omaha Nebraska where she met her spouse John L. Moore, together the two would go on to have their youngest son Elias Cain. They were together 40+ years. 

Holding a number of different jobs throughout the years, Mary found most interest working in child care. She worked as a paraprofessional for several years for the Omaha Public School system, before she would go on to open her own in home daycare. She enjoyed spending time with her family most recently her great grandchildren, she found much joy in seeing them. 

The Lord saw fit to call Mary home July 4th 2023. She is proceeded in death by her spouse John Moore. Two sons, Rodney Cain & Elias Cain. Parents Betty Mcjunkin & Willie Mcjunkin. 1 brother Dewayne Mcjunkin, 3 sisters Sandra Hill, Janet McClain, and Stephanie Mack. Niece, Camilla Mcjunkin, and nephews Mathew Hill & Micheal Hill. 

She leaves behind 2 daughters, Alicia Cain & Tina Cain; brother Keith Mcjunkin; sisters, Greta Riggins, Denice Adkins, Valerie Mcjunkin, Edie Mcjunkin, Aretha Bias, & Jawana Snoddy; 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 1 Aunt Mary Ankrom Hinton. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins & friends who will forever cherish her memory. 

Services will be held on Friday (7/14/2023) at Roeder Mortuary, 4932 Ames Ave., Omaha, NE. Visitation from 12:00 – 1:00 PM with Funeral Service at 1:00 PM.  Services will be live streamed below.
