Marti L. Tillwick

Martha Louise Tillwick, 76, went to be with our Lord and Father Friday, January 17th, 2025, in Omaha, Nebraska, surrounded by her family and close friends. Martha was born July 3rd, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois. Martha lived most of her life in Omaha, where she resided with her best friend and husband of 46 years, George. 

Martha had a life-long love for horses, attending every event she could. She was a member of the Omaha Stockyards Saddle Club for many years, participating in parades, trail rides, and horse shows. As a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, she sang in the choir, worked with church youth, and taught Sunday school. Both Martha and her husband George thoroughly enjoyed spending time with their closest of friends, Pam & Dale Cummings, going on trips together, attending Fish Fries, and many other activities. She also was passionate about her family, including her children, Seth, Katie and Bill, and her grandchildren. 

Martha was preceded in death by her son: Seth; and parents: Vera & William Goette. She is survived by her beloved husband: George; and children: Katie Burlew (John), of Owensboro, KY and Bill Tillwick (Maeren) of Denver, CO; and her three grandchildren: Adam and Logan Hakanson and Ellie Burlew.

There will be a Visitation from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM with a Funeral Service 1:00 PM Thursday (1/23/2025) at Roeder Mortuary 108th Street Chapel 2727 N. 108th St. Omaha, Nebraska 68164. There will also be a Celebration of Life get-together 5:30 PM Thursday at Legends Patio Grill and Bar 6910 N. 102nd Cir. Omaha, Nebraska 68122
