Marshall A. Rogers “Scoop” was born on November 1, 1954 in Omaha, Nebraska to William Thornton and Dorothy Thornton, they preceded him in death. Along with his brother Louis Rogers and nephew, Kevin L. Thornton. Marshall passed away due to Cancer and having an operation that didn’t help, after days went by suddenly on January 21, 2022 he passed away. Marshall was the 2nd to the oldest of seven children. He attended Omaha Public Schools and Sacred Heart Catholic school. He worked at Baxter Arena as a ticket taker, he also retired from Methodist Hospital.  Also he volunteered at the Salvation Army on 24th and Pratt St. in Omaha Ne. Marshall loved to watch movies, loved to go out to eat and just be by himself. To cherish his memories; sisters, Sheila Thornton and Shelly Thornton- Ross; brothers, Rubin Thornton, Dale Thornton, David Thornton, , aunt Christine Robertson, brother-in-law Nate Ross; his beloved favorite nephew Ladell Thornton “Boo Boo”, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and lots of friends. Visitation: 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 5, 2022 Roeder Mortuary, 4932 Ames Ave. Celebration of Marshall’s life will be at 3:00 p.m. also at the mortuary.
