Mark E. Ward

Mark Edward Ward passed away peacefully on Monday, May 6, at the age of 62. He was born on March 16, 1962, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Edward and Wilma Ward (Denny). Mark was a proud alumni of Benson High School, class of 1980. Mark earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Nebraska Wesleyan and a master’s degree in 1987 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

 

Mark was a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner with over 35 years of experience working with individuals and families. Mark enjoyed improv comedy and was an alum and former performer at the Backline Comedy Theatre. He enjoyed biking and participated in several years of RAGBRAI with friends. He loved dogs, from large German shepherds to his recent smaller friends Charlie, Lincoln, and Charlotte. 

 

Mark was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife: Susan (Larson) Ward, children: Kristina (Matthew) Armbruster and Scott (Kendall) Ward-Gloeb, granddaughters: Jessica, Maeve, Juniper, and Ellanora, sisters: Pam (Rick) Klug and Sheri (Jay) Feala, and numerous “favorite people” in his friends and family members. 

  

A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 AM Friday (5/17/2024) at Rejoice! Lutheran Church 2556 S. 138th St. Omaha, Nebraska. A luncheon will follow the service
