Marian was born November 10, 1965, in East St Louis, Illinois where she grew up as a little girl with four siblings (2 brothers, 2 sisters).
She was the oldest daughter and second oldest child to her mother, Helen Marie Jeffries (Callahan) born in Savage, Mississippi and her father, Berry Jeffries Sr. born in Lamar, Mississippi. As a junior high student, she attended Lansdowne Junior High School and prior to moving to Omaha, Nebraska she attended East St Louis Senior High School for 9th and part of 10th grade.
Trina moved to Omaha, Nebraska with her mother and siblings shortly after turning 15 years old. Marian started attending Central High School where she excelled and remained on the honor roll list. As a teenager she started attending the Faith Temple Church of God in Christ where she accepted Christ as her savior and was a member of the choir. She was a woman of faith.
Marian was a loving and caring mother to three sons, Anthony, Sean and Diante. As a mother she was determined to provide for them as best as she could. Trina was a HARD worker from an early age up to the day of her passing. Marian first started working as a teenager in the Omaha SETA Summer Youth program where she met the father to her three sons, Anthony Wayne Jones.
While in her mid 20’s Marian started working at the Campbell Soup Company in Omaha, Nebraska, until it closed in 2001. At times she worked mandatory 12-to-16-hour shifts at Campbell Soup. After working a couple of odd jobs Trina landed a great job opportunity around 2006 when she started working at the Kellogg’s Corporation in production. She continued working there for almost the last 20 years. Marian would work 8, 12 and 16-hour shifts, and at times, 6 to 7 days a week. With Kellogg’s closing its Omaha doors in 2026, Marian looked forward to retirement, the reward for all her hard work and dedication, but she did not live long enough to enjoy the fruits of her labor.
Marian always spoke her mind and told it like it was. Marian was genuine and would never tell you anything wrong. Marian was a loving, caring and kind person with a BIG heart who was always concerned about others more so than herself. Marian loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her siblings and hoped to travel to visit more family after retirement. Marian looked forward to holidays where she could spend time with family, enjoying everyone’s company and eating good food. Some of Marian’s favorite foods were king crab legs, lobster tails, steak and shrimp with the trimmings. Some of her favorite restaurants were Red Lobster, Mo Fish and Yummy Crab.
Marian enjoyed going to the casino with her siblings and she really enjoyed hanging out at her sister Cynthia Shenise’s house. Marian and her sister Shenise were really close. When Shenise was a baby and Marian was around 18 - 19 months old, Marian would steal Shenise’s baby bottle. When they were both little girls growing up; Marian feared the dark and would wake Shenise up out of her sleep to go with her to the bathroom.
Marian was proceeded in death by her mother Helen Marie Jeffries, Father Berry Jeffries Sr, sister Sharon Jeffries, brother, Berry Jeffries Jr., daughter, Crystal (who passed at birth) and many close uncles, aunts and cousins.
Marian leaves to cherish her memory, her three sons, Anthony Jeffries, Sean Jeffries and Diante Jones. Marian is survived by three siblings, Cynthia Jeffries, Terrell Jeffries and Tamara Jeffries who all live in Omaha, Nebraska. Marian was a loving grandmother to eight grandchildren whom she loved and cherished and wished that she could have spent more time with: Jaeda, Janiya, Anthony Jr., Josiah, Ariana, TreSean, Jayce and Alaysia.
