Marcello Alexander
Knoetze
March 4, 2026 – March 21, 2026
Marcello Alexander Knoetze, our beautiful baby boy, was held in the loving arms of his parents as he peacefully went to heaven. Though his time on earth was brief, he knew a lifetime of love in every moment.
Marcello means “young warrior,” and that is exactly who he was. He fought like a warrior every single day of his life. We are so incredibly grateful for the 17 days we were given with him. 17 days of loving him, holding him, and being his parents.
From the moment he entered this world, Marcello was deeply cherished. He was perfect in every way, so wanted, so loved, and so fiercely fought for. He was loved his entire life. In his quiet strength, he touched the hearts of everyone who followed his story and prayed for him.
Marcello spent his final moments surrounded by overwhelming love. We were able to hold him, take him outside, and share a peaceful, sacred goodbye on the first day of spring, a day that now holds a deeper and more meaningful place in our hearts. In that moment, he became our little angel, watching over us always.
He is survived by his devoted parents, Martin and Karla Knoetze, who will forever carry him in their hearts, and by his beloved twin sister, Mara, and his older brother, Martin IV, who will grow up knowing the strength, love, and legacy their brother gave to their lives.
There are no words that can fully capture the loss of Marcello. His life, though brief, was incredibly powerful. He taught us love without limits, strength in the face of the unimaginable, and what it truly means to be a parent.
Marcello will always be remembered as perfect, as deeply loved, and as a light that will never go out.
