Lynn Sharron Scott was preceded in death by her father Walter I. Scott, mother, Opal “Chris” Scott, ex-husband, Ken Liedle and generations of furry friends. She is survived by cousin / de facto brother, Gary Christensen, daughter, Kendra Liedle, son, Derek Liedle, daughter-in-law, Jennifer Liedle, granddaughter Harper Liedle and grandson, Charles “Charlie” Liedle. Born in Omaha, NE, Lynn was an only child who was indeed one of a kind. She was a true renaissance woman. She was an artist, an educator, a brilliant musician, an animal lover, a joke lover and quite simply the best mother that anyone could ever ask for.
In a time when most women did not pursue higher education, she graduated with a double major (Music & Psychology) from The University of Kansas. A serial overachiever, she later completed her Masters degree (Guidance and Counseling) at The University of Nebraska Omaha. Lynn had an amazing work ethic. Working by day as a Spanish teacher at various Omaha Parochial schools she doubled as a professional pianist at night. She kept up this schedule for multiple decades. She often performed music for Omaha’s elite and was the consummate entertainer.
Despite her full schedule, she always had time to care for her parents, her children, their friends and any and all animals that showed up in her back yard. Despite years of health setbacks, her uncanny wit remained. She relished a chance to engage in friendly banter with friends and strangers alike. Compassionate and selfless until the end, Lynn would regularly ask her in-home health care team what she could do for them. Life for those that knew her will never be the same and she will be missed daily.
Te amamos por siempre!
