Luther Johnson was born September 6, 1939 in Selma, Arkansas.  He came to Omaha in 1959 and worked as a heavy equipment operator for 25 years, retiring in 1995.  He was also a member on the Local 571; International Union of Operating Engineers . Before his passing, he lived in Carson, Iowa.

Luther loved to hunt and especially fish.  He traveled all over the western United States and his favorite places were the mountains.

Luther leaves to cherish his memories, his wife: Linda Johnson; Children: Curtis , Mike, Darryl , Pamela; 18 Grandchildren; 23 Great-grandchildren; and 2 Great-great-grandchild; Brothers: Andrew, Jr of Omaha, Alvin of Omaha, and Curtis of Houston, TX.

There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends 3:00 – 5:00 PM Sunday , and a Memorial Service 2:00 PM Monday all at Roeder Mortuary 4932 Ames Avenue Omaha, Nebraska.
