Lucy M. Rivera

We honor the extraordinary life of a woman whose kindness, thoughtfulness, and vibrant spirit enriched the lives of everyone she encountered. A lifelong resident of Omaha, Nebraska, she cultivated deep roots in her community, cherishing the bonds of family and friendship.

She was a beloved daughter, sister, and aunt, whose love for her many godchildren, nieces and nephews knew no bounds. Her affection extended to her two dear cats, Chico and Pancho, who held a special place in her heart.

Her favorite things brought so much joy to her life—she loved the color red, nurturing her beautiful gardens, traveling to Hawaii, visiting national parks, and playing keno with her sisters. She dedicated 38 years of service to Physicians Mutual, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and hard work.

Amongst her best self, her zest for life was contagious, her laughter unforgettable, and her presence brought light to any room—often with a margarita in hand. She embodied love, care, and fun, and her memory will forever inspire those fortunate enough to have known her.
